How to install “CheatSheet”
▶ Click the link below to open the official website of “CheatSheet”.
▶ When the site opens, click the “Download” button pointed to by the arrow in the figure below.
▶ When the screen to download the ZIP format file is displayed as shown below, specify an appropriate save location such as the folder “Downloads”, and then click the “Save” button.
▶ After downloading the ZIP file, double-click it to extract (decompress) it.
▶ When the ZIP format file is extracted and the “CheatSheet” app icon is displayed as shown in the figure below, double-click it.
▶ When the screen as shown below confirms whether you want to open the file appears, click “Open”.
▶ When the confirmation screen appears asking if you want to move the app to the folder “Applications”, click “Move to Applications Folder”, which is pointed to by the arrow.
▶ As shown in the figure below, when the message “Input Monitoring” is displayed, click “Open” System Preferences “” pointed to by the arrow.
▶ When “Security & Privacy” is displayed as shown in the figure below, click the lock icon at the bottom left to unlock it.

▶ When the screen that requires the app to be restarted is displayed, click “Exit and reopen”.
▶ Make sure that the check mark on the left side of “CheatSheet” is checked, and then click “Accessibility” in the left column.
▶ Check “CheatSheet” in the right column and click the lock icon at the bottom left to lock it again.

How to use “CheatSheet”
① Display shortcuts
With CheatSheet running, perform the following operations to display a list of shortcut keys.

② Print
You can save and print the list of shortcut keys as a PDF file by following the steps below.

You can adjust the delay time before the shortcut is displayed.

Automatic execution of “Cheat Sheet” when Mac starts
Most of these apps have a setting to run automatically when the Mac starts, but this app doesn’t have it.
However, it can be set by the following method.
▶ Select “Apple Mark” -> “System Preferences…” from the menu bar.
▶ When “System Preferences” opens, click “Users and Groups”.
▶ When “Users and Groups” is displayed, click the tab “Login Items” at the top.
▶ Register “CheatSheet” in the “The following items will open automatically when you log in” on the screen.
The registration method is one of the following.
- ① Drag and drop the app “CheatSheet” in Finder
- ② Click the button + below the list of apps that open automatically and specify “CheatSheet”
▶ After completing the registration, this screen can be closed.
How to quit “CheatSheet”
CheatSheet doesn’t display an icon in the menu bar that is common in these utility apps, so many people may be confused because they don’t know how to quit it.
However, you can finish it by following the steps below.
▶ With the shortcut displayed, select “Quit” from the gear icon at the bottom right.
How to uninstall “CheatSheet”
Here are two methods.
If you want to uninstall it easily, ① is OK.
If you want to completely delete the settings file including traces, please use ②.
In addition, since neither method can be uninstalled if “CheatSheet” is running, please terminate it while referring to “How to quit CheatSheet“.
① Put “CheatSheet” in the trash from Finder
▶ Bring the Finder to the front, right-click on “Cheat Sheet” and select “Move to Trash” from the menu that appears.
② Use the deletion app “AppCleaner”
This method is described in detail in another article, so here I will briefly explain the points.
▶ Download and install “AppCleaner” from the link below.
▶ Launch the installed app, “AppCleaner”.
▶ After launching “AppCleaner”, drag and drop “CheatSheet” into the screen.
▶ The following is the drag and drop of “CheatSheet”.
Folders and files with a check mark on the left will be deleted.
If there is a part that is not checked immediately after dragging and dropping, check all parts.
